Women’s Healthcare Nurse Practitioner
Carrie has been taking care of women’s health for 25 years. An honors graduate in nursing from Ball State University, she joined the Air Force and practiced in Ob/Gyn. Her passion for additional knowledge prompted her enrollment in the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio to earn her Master’s of Science in Nursing for Women’s Health. She received multiple awards and medals for her exemplary service to military women throughout her 20 year career with the US Air Force. A pivotal time in her development as a Nurse Practitioner was her time serving alongside a functional medicine OB/Gyn while stationed at Wright Patterson AFB.
Carrie’s provider experience found traditional medicine struggling to fully meet the needs of many of her patients. So many women were not properly educated regarding their options when it comes to aging and its impact on their bodies. To better address these needs, Carrie sought certification in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy in 2008. Carrie trained with Dr. Neal Rouzier of World Link Medical, a pioneer in this field.
Combating the side-effects of aging extends beyond just embracing a healthy lifestyle. Replenishment of your essential and protective hormones via bio identical therapy can be life changing and has become her sole focus. Carrie’s “Golden Rule” is to treat all women as she would want to be treated were she the patient. Her consultative goal is to help you find the “balanced” state of well being that proper levels of hormones can provide.
